General information for competitions and qualification criteria for matches

General competition play

The Seniors section have a competition every Thursday throughout the year and each month ( except January and February) there will be at least two that will qualify for handicap purposes. Generally they are Stablefords in the winter October-March and a mixture of both Stablefords and Medals in the summer. Winter comps are usually “yellow tee competitions”  and summer qualifying competitions are played from the White tees. All these competitions appear in the seniors diary and the club diary and rules. The advanced diary is also posted on the noticeboard along with the dates that BRS is available for booking in.

Each week a member of the seniors is allocated as Starter to ensure the smooth running of our Thursday competitions. This competition list is compiled and published up to a year in advance.
