CAPTAINS LOG APRIL 2016

Greetings one and all.

Although it’s still cold at times I am sure like me you are all pleased the long wet winter is finally over. After watching the fantastic tv pictures from Augusta and seeing the bluebells in full bloom on our course, I hope your excited about another great season at Kings Hill.

Our first Major Competition the Masters went very well, It was a very busy time for us organisers, and from your comments and feedback it seems most of you enjoyed the whole weekend, if not all your golf! We were able to add 3 more improvements, the Starters and Scorers Gazebos and the PA system to announce each player on the first tee. Together with our big Scoreboard, I hope this all helped to enhance the experience for everyone. In spite of the cold wet and very windy conditions there was some excellent golf played with two net 68’s in the first round. It was brilliant to see one of our young up and coming stars Cameron Green win KH Masters Trophy on Sunday with a net score of 140 for the 2 rounds. The Salver was won by Jo Drown with 38 stableford points I must thank all the wonderful helpers that worked so hard over the 2 days to make it a successful event.

Our next Major Competition is the Richard Moore Memorial on the 7th of May. It is a 2 tee start drawn event played in 4balls. There is still time to enter on line if you hurry.

The 2016 Captain- Pro Challenge is now on the notice board, there are only 8 dates available so if you and a partner are interested my advice is get in quick.

Social events at the club so far have been very good, next up is the Music and Movie Quiz night on 21st May. Details on notices on the tables in the bar. Book in for this at the bar I know it will be a great evening, bring along your family and friends.

I look forward to see you all at the club soon.
