Dear New Member,

On behalf of the Men’s Committee, welcome to Kings Hill!  Our role relates to:

Handicaps. We and the club will help you transfer over your existing handicap, or if you do not have a handicap, to obtain one: please put in 3 cards signed by a member with a handicap, after which you will have an active handicap. Committee members will be pleased to play with you for this purpose, or to steer you to a weekend group to play with (as will the Pro Shop and the Starter). Our contact details are on the notice board downstairs and on our website.

Competitions. We run both regular monthly events open to all members with active handicaps, and our “Board” events (to be eligible for which we ask you to play in three of our competitions in the previous 12 months). Full details of competition rules and procedures are available on our website. To enter a competition please book directly through the club’s online booking system or speak to the Pro Shop.  We also run match-play knock-out competitions over the Summer. The Seniors, within the Men’s section, also run regular weekday competitions, for those over the age of 50.

Matches. We run three league teams as well as a series of friendly matches, that suit all standards, normally in pairs match-play format. The Seniors also run several teams that play midweek. Please see the notice board and our website for details.

Social events. Complementary to what the club does, the Men’s and the Ladies’ section together organise occasional social events, e.g. the Summer party and the Captains Dinner.

Our year runs in line with the club’s own renewal date for subscriptions. So, we start with the Captain's drive-in in late October, and there are various competitions all through the late Autumn and Winter.  We really get going with competitions and matches from March onwards, and hold our first Board event of the year, our two-day Masters, in early April. Our club championship is at the very end of June.

We hope you will become an active member of the club and of the section. Please contact us with any questions or comments. In the meantime, we would be grateful if you would fill in and return the Competition Registration Form so that we can contact you about these activities.
